How it works:This tool queries DNS records via DNS-over-HTTPS from Google (8.8.8.8) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1). Select "All Records" to query A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS, TXT, SOA, SRV, and CAA records in parallel. WHOIS data is fetched from the RDAP protocol (the modern replacement for traditional WHOIS). Results may differ between providers due to caching and propagation delays.

Frequently Asked Questions

A (IPv4 address), AAAA (IPv6 address), MX (mail servers), TXT (text records, SPF, DKIM), CNAME (aliases), NS (nameservers), and SOA (start of authority).

The tool resolves your query through a public DNS-over-HTTPS service that returns results in JSON format. This avoids browser CORS restrictions while giving you accurate, up-to-date record data.

DNS changes take time to propagate (up to 48 hours). Public resolvers may cache records for their TTL duration. If you just changed records, check back later.

Enter your domain and select the MX record type, then look up. The results list each mail server hostname and its priority value, lowest priority first. Cross-check these against your email provider's recommended MX records to confirm delivery is configured correctly.

SPF and DKIM are stored as TXT records. Select TXT and look up your domain to see the SPF string (it starts with v=spf1). DKIM lives under a selector subdomain such as selector._domainkey.example.com, so query that exact name to read the DKIM key.
