The file is parsed in memory using Mammoth, which extracts the structured content - paragraphs, headings, bold/italic, lists, and basic tables - and then jspdf draws it onto pages with your chosen page size (A4, Letter, Legal), orientation, and margin. Nothing is uploaded; you can confirm this in your browser's Network tab while the conversion runs. Best results come from documents that are primarily text, so converting a resume to PDF, turning a cover letter into a PDF, or saving a contract or report as PDF works cleanly without an email signup or watermark. Heavily formatted documents with complex multi-column layouts, embedded charts, SmartArt, or tracked changes will be flattened to their text content; the result is readable but not pixel-identical to what Microsoft Word would produce. For pixel-perfect conversion of complex layouts, server-side LibreOffice is the only honest answer and that requires a paid tool.
