What is PDF Merge & Split?
Merge PDF files online for free or split a PDF into separate pages - all without uploading anything to a server.
Unlike most PDF tools that send your documents to remote servers for processing, this tool runs entirely in your browser using the pdf-lib library. Your PDFs never leave your device, making it safe for contracts, invoices, tax forms, and any confidential documents. Upload multiple files and drag to rearrange the order for merging, or select specific page ranges to extract when splitting. The output downloads as a standard PDF that works everywhere. No signup, no watermarks, no file size tricks - just a straightforward PDF merger and splitter that respects your privacy.
How to Use PDF Merge & Split
- 1Choose the 'Merge' tab to combine multiple PDFs into one file, or the 'Split' tab to extract specific pages from a single PDF
- 2Upload your PDF file(s) by clicking the upload area or dragging and dropping them into the browser
- 3For merging, drag the files into your preferred order and click 'Merge PDFs' to download the combined document
- 4For splitting, enter the page ranges you want to extract (e.g., '1-3, 5, 7-10') and click 'Split PDF' to download each range as a separate file
